"Melmo" Bound

When I told Ellison that we'd go see Elmo (whom she refers to as "Melmo"), she took off running down the driveway. I had to quickly remind her that it's too far for her little legs to carry her, so we would need the stroller. I apparently wasn't moving quickly enough for her, so she took things into her own hands, er, well, the stroller into her own hands...

OK, I'm stretching the truth a little. But we do often go for a walk in our neighborhood that includes an Elmo visit. There's a house that's always FULL of exciting decorations for the holidays, whether it be Halloween, Christmas, etc. The house is a little overdone most of the time, but I've warmed up to it since it's such a hit with the tiny neighborhood children. All of the Christmas decorations are down now, save for the giant inflatable Elmo, snowman, & toy soldier. I think the owners left them up just because so many kids enjoy it. That's kinda sweet. So anyway, we drive by it every single time we leave our house, and we purposely go by it on many of our walks because Ellison gets a big smile on her face and starts repeating "Melmo" when she sees it. And, as I'm sure you can guess, I'm a sucker for those adorable things my daughter does :). Oh, and yes, I know it's cheesy that I took a picture of Ellison looking at it, but it's a common memory for us, so naturally I had to...
