Yes, the day was spent doing even more shopping, then we ran to the Farmer's Market to pick up some fresh peaches to make peach crisp. Ellison and Emma had fun making a giant mess!
Then bathtime for the girls in the evening.
And storytime with Grandma (for a short bit, anyway).
[August 17, 2009]
Grandma and Emma were slated to leave the following afternoon. After dropping them off at the airport, and returning home to put Ellison down for a nap, Grandma called and said there were storms in Atlanta (their layover), and that they were told it was possible that they could be stuck there for hours if they got there. With that, Grandma had them book them out for the next day. We were thrilled to get a bonus day! Thankfully, Emma was happy to stay another day. It worked out great, because I had an all-day class to attend for work, and we had a sitter lined up. Grandma got to watch Ellison instead, up until naptime. Grandma was in pure heaven to finally get to rock Ellison before her nap (if we're there, Grandma doesn't get to rock her, per Ellison), and Ellison even fell asleep on her. Then they were off, and Lucy came to watch Ellison until I got home...
