Ellison's little dream came to fruition yesterday - she started dance classes! She was SOOO excited. We figured we'd better give it a shot since we hear "Demi plie" and "Pada bore" (I know I'm spelling those wrong) coming frequently out of her mouth. We decided to start her at Nan's School of Dance since she kept saying she wanted to do tap also. It's a class for 3-4 year olds that does ballet, tap, and a little bit of tumbling. Ellison's little friend, Isabella Tooley, is in her class, and showed her the ropes yesterday since everyone else has been doing it for a couple months (we had to wait until she turned 3). Isabella took her by the hand and led the way - so cute.
Ellison loves her new dancing attire, and asks to wear it all the time. Thankfully, we can set some limits with her dance outfits and shoes. :-)

Isabella and Ellison
Waiting to go into their class.
Since the class is after Jonathan gets home from work, the both of us went and watched through the one-way window the whole time. It was so adorable to watch! She was picking up some of the steps and doing what the teacher told them. A few times a couple of little girls would get distracted and run over to the window (though they couldn't see us) or to the mirrors, or one would lay on the floor, and a couple of them (Ellison included) would follow suit. But they'd all quickly scamper back to where they were supposed to be. When she came out of class, she had the biggest grin on her face and said, "I did good!".
After class yesterday we headed over to Pastabilities to celebrate our friend, Michael's, birthday. This is the same Michael whom Ellison used to call, "My Michael". The infatuation had worn off, but I'm afraid it's coming back again. The whole way over to the restaurant Ellison was saying, "I'm going to show Michael my outfit and he will say, 'That's a cute little outfit!' ", or "I'm going to show Michael my piggytails!". Michael likes to tease Jonathan that he's going to take Ellison to the Father-Daughter Dance.
