And finally, the last of the 2009 Halloween festivities. Time to trick-or-treat.

It was a warm, muggy evening. The first couple of houses Ellison was shy, but then when she realized she was getting some treats out of the deal, she kicked it into high gear! This girl was lit up! She would very animatedly tell me, "Let's go to another one, Mom!". Soon she was running up the driveways ahead of me, saying, "Trick-or-treat" and "Thank you!". She was even asked to pose for a couple of pics, and she happily obliged.
The best part of the evening came when Daddy arrived home from the UK, and literally met us on the street at the Mr. Fern's house, aka "The Halloween House". I've mentioned his house in other blog posts from long ago - the house that's always decorated up for the holidays. Ellison asks to drive by Mr. Fern's house every day we start down the street in the van. Michael and Ethan met up with us, too, so the 5 of us hit a few houses before heading home.
