After our Thanksgiving celebration, we all headed to church, then came home to decorate the gingerbread houses Great Aunt Betty made for all the kids. She's the best - she even gave us all of the candies and frosting to decorate them, and she made one for each kid to decorate their own. It was a fun, and very messy, evening. Poor Emma got a stomachache after mouthing her red frosting piping bag too much.
She's going to be starring on "Ace of Cakes" before you know it.

After we managed to clean up the confectionary tornado remains, my cousin Shawn, her husband Jim, their 3 kids, and my Aunt Yvonne (aka Grandma Yvonne to Ell) came over and we all hung out.

On Sunday afternoon the adult females got out childless to see "New Moon" (this became the birth of my obsession, despite being totally uninterested in getting into it, as my female family members kept insisting how much I'd enjoy it. I think I should start a "Twilight" series blog or something. I love to talk about it. I'm thinking about writing a letter to Stephenie Meyer telling her she needs to add some more books to the series. I still fight the urge to Google Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart just to make sure there are still rumors of them dating in real life. My husband almost divorced me after seeing how every waking moment I had when Ellison was asleep was spent with my nose in 4 FAT books over the course of only 3 weeks. My house was not cleaned for that entire 3 weeks - too much time spent away from Edward and Bella. I look at my dear friend, Alisha, and have to catch myself before I call her "Bella" - she seriously looks like her and even has some of her same mannerisms. But I digress...). Then we had a lazy day of filling our faces full of Thanksgiving leftovers before Uncle Josh and the gang, and Aunt Carrie & Uncle Jeff had to head back to their realities.
