A Daddy Day

Ellison making a request at Target to Daddy. Her Merliah Barbie isn't quite good enough without the mermaid tail like this one...
Going to stores with toys lately has been tough. She begs for about 100 items, and usually we can pacify her if we say she can have it "someday" or "maybe for her birthday". "Can I buy this, Mom?"... "No, not today."... "Well, then next time? Can I buy it someday?"... "Can I have that for my birthday?"... She's realized that there are about 235 things she's mentioned she wants for her birthday, so now she just asks me if I will put it on her birthday list. Now, other times? She has a tantrum and cries her way through the store.

Daddy was cracking up playing with her one day. She wanted to play hide-and-seek, and told him, "Daddy, I'll leave a trail of stones, and you find me." I think we had just read "Hansel and Gretel" for bed a couple of night before.
