Fort Macon

Another rainy day, but very enjoyable. We headed to Ft. Macon to spend some time and we all really enjoyed it. Ellison had fun - she felt like it was her very own little exploration place. Being under umbrellas part of the time added to the excitement for her, I suppose. :-) I think I ran with her in the rain 3 different times to take her to the potty, and that's not counting a time or two by Daddy. Good exercise, too, you could say.

When it was a complete downpour, Daddy had no choice but to wear the poncho found in G & G's van, or get sopping wet. We all stole the umbrellas before he had a chance to. But you looked so darn cute, Jonny. ;-)

Hard to believe such a beautiful place was the site of a few wars..

For dinner we headed to the highly-recommended "Amos Mosquito's". All I can say is, "YUM!".
Waiting outside to be seated...
Notice the "lipstick" in her hands. She was basically one-armed the whole trip because she was rarely without some form of lipstick.
