Beach Arrival

At last, after anticipating our vacation for the last 12 months, it finally came to be. We arrived in Pine Knoll Shores on Saturday afternoon after a pleasant drive, and were thrilled when we saw the gorgeous panoramic views from our condo! Speaking of the drive, it's also where we stumbled upon the little piece of taste-bud-heaven called "Bo-Berries" at Bojangles. Oh. Yum.
Ellison was so happy to get to the beach. Every time we'd talk about it over the last months she would just keep saying, "It surely is taking a long, long time to go to the beach." My sentiments exactly. She ran into the condo, and was glued to the balcony for a little while.

The view from the dining area.

Not bad for the view at the front door, right?

Little biscuit heading down to the beach

Little tootsies touching the water for the first time this year.

Loving every minute of it!

She squealed with complete delight every time she got wet. We couldn't get her out of the water!

Daddy flying the kite. Elli had no interest this year. It was all about the ocean!

Cute little person footprints

She had to walk in Daddy's big footprints

Grandpapa & Grandma

Ellison and Papa were SOAKED by the time our frolicking was done. She had the most shrill little scream and laugh every time her and Papa got more wet in the waves. She even got a little crack showin' since her little buns couldn't hold up her wet skirt anymore. :-)

Pure heaven watching this little one enjoy the beach. I don't know what we ever did to receive such an incredible blessing of having this little girl to raise, but we're thankful for every difficult parenting moment - each one is so completely worth it. How anyone can have a child and not believe in God is beyond me. This trip had so many beautiful memories of our hearts swelling with complete joy. It all points to His glory.
