Christmas Eve

Doesn't this just scream "Joy to the World"?...

Ellison was NOT into having a photo op before church on Christmas Eve. She had a fake smile in almost every pic. And I think she was ticked off that her "curly curlies" were too tight. She kept telling me she wanted bigger ones, not small ones, but I guess my hair curling skills were off that day.

We were happily surprised the day before when Jonathan's nephew, Tato, called and said they would like to come up for Christmas Eve. Ellison was so excited to see the girls, and even more excited to find out that she could sit by them for the Christmas service at church.

Natalia was Ellison's little sidekick. The girls were donning their princess dresses just in time for Christmas Eve dinner.

After a lovely evening of visiting and playing, our company headed back home, and we got down to business: setting out the cookies and milk for Santa and the carrots for the reindeer. Ellison was concerned about knowing how many carrots to leave out, so I helped her count out one for each reindeer.
Her little note so that Santa would know the carrots were for the reindeer. I told her how to spell, and she wrote it out.
Then off to bed, where visions of sugarplums hopefully danced in her sweet little head.
