Beach Day 4

Collecting seashells.
There's nothing like bringing in the first day of June with a walk on the beach.

Oh, the damage done. The previous day, Ellison, in her love of being in the ocean, got knocked over a couple of times by some strong waves (in the shallowest part, mind you, and with me right next to her). She never fretted, but after the second time, she wanted her face wiped off since she tasted salt water, and HATES having her face wet by any form of splashed water. I didn't really notice she didn't get back in the ocean after that, since she had been playing in it all day. It became very clear this day, though, that she was tainted. The look on her face says it all. She wouldn't go near the water.

No amount of coaxing or explanations would do it. She was done. And Daddy was so upset - his kindred beach soul had left him in the dust.

She was happy to walk the beach and pick up seashells, as long as she was a safe distance from that water coming after her. We tried looking at the bright side - a "respect" or even a little fear of the ocean is a good thing.

Sexy Daddy

Blowing bubbles on the shore was great. Fabulous bubbles without having to do any of the work.

Playing Cornhole with Daddy. It was hilarious to watch Ellison - she's swing her little arm back and forth in a huge arc about 10 times before tossing the bag.

All tuckered out
